Toppers Talk

Ankit Pannu (AIR 31, 2017)

He believes in working out for one’s dream. He wanted to become IAS so he started in his 4th year of Engineering.

He believed in learning from his mistakes and then improving it by revising and analyzing his progresses and finally moving in right direction that’s how he made use of his 1st attempt.

In his second attempt he laid emphasis on writing answers and essays. He kept on writing and practicing answers and got it evaluated from his friends and mentors to get valuable feedback, which truly helped him to improve the structure, flow and content of essays and answers.

He strongly believed in not making notes of Newspaper articles rather insists to analyse the topic and think about it from different perspectives. He staunchly believed in keeping the notes at minimum for revision.

According to him the optional should be decided on 3 criteria:

  1. Based on Interest
  2. Based on your proficiency
  3. Based on overlap with GS Papers.

He strongly believed that knowing your syllabus is very very important and reading only relevant news will save a lot of precious time. Don’t just read blindly, rather one should read smartly and utilizing it with its own thinking and analyzing the current news & Issues.
